59. Breathing Language
A migration into the world of artificial intelligence is not only logical for Reisinger but entirely natural. In this collection of works he explores the immense possibilities of what has been coined the new Recombinant Art, where A.I. is trained on the collective works of humanity and produces a new type of art in the process. But rather than remixing historical artistic movements and styles without context, here Reisinger Studio together with artists, engineers, architects, and scientists have created a trigger for a new biodiversity by designing a node-based procedural AI machine. Over time, a new system of artworks that act as words for the formation of a future language will be created. Using AI itself to not only make artworks autonomously but to inspire his artistic language, Reisinger is positioning himself at the forefront of contemporary practice. Both embracing and pioneering in the use of AI, with titles such as “Grammar of Fragility” and “Garden of Impatience” the growing relevance of the artist at the threshold of art and technology is made evident.
